According to DIN EN ISO\/IEC 17025:2018-03, the associated uncertainty must be specified for each measured value. In the last audit we received a deviation for this. As part of the corrective measures, we have developed a table in the field of spark spectrometry from our traceable calibration certificates in which we can assign the individual elements to a specific class with regard to analytical properties such as signal\/background ratio, interference, availability of reference samples or the complexity of the analysis results. TAZ GmbH is thus able to indicate an associated uncertainty for each measured value without additional effort.<\/p>\n

This table is matrix independent. Thus, the specifications from the standard can be implemented quickly and easily.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This “super table” is based on a meaningful calibration certificate. In addition, all essential influencing factors that affect the measurement uncertainties are taken into account. The measurement uncertainties given in the table as standard are the maximum process uncertainties that can occur. Inhomogeneities in customer samples are not taken into account.<\/p>\n

TAZ GmbH is happy to determine the specific measurement uncertainty of the customer sample, which e.g. T. can be well below the procedural uncertainty if a homogeneous sample matrix is \u200b\u200bpresent.<\/p>\n

In the future, we will meet the requirements of the new version of DIN EN ISO\/IEC 17025:2018-3 and always state the associated uncertainty for all quantitative measurement results. In spark spectrometry, we can always immediately name the uncertainties in a material analysis, both stationary and mobile. In GDOES glow discharge spectrometry, the measurement uncertainty will also be specified in the future when determining the chemical composition as well as in quantitative GDOES depth profile analyses.<\/p>\n
