Ice hockey is a tradition in Augsburg – after all, the AEV was founded in 1878, making it Germany’s oldest ice sports club.
The Augsburg Panthers have been playing in the highest German league since the German Ice Hockey League was founded in 1994, where they assert themselves against supposedly big clubs such as Munich, Mannheim, Berlin and Cologne. In 2010 they even celebrated the greatest success in the club’s history by becoming second in the german championship.
With its commitment, TAZ GmbH contributes to the further development of the Augsburg region.
