To provide technical support for the further development of this business unit, we are seeking a Calibration Technician (m/f/d) for full-time or part-time employment, to start immediately

  • Calibration & Adjustment: Performing regular calibrations on optical emission spectrometers (OES) using certified reference materials (CRM)
  • Maintenance & Repair: Mechanical and optical maintenance of the instruments (e.g., cleaning the optical path, adjusting the electrode gap, gas flow testing)
  • Application Consulting: Supporting our customers in creating new measurement programs for various matrix materials (e.g., Fe-, Al-, Cu-, or Ni-based)
    Documentation: Preparation of legally compliant service reports and calibration certificates in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025
  • Troubleshooting: Analysis of deviations (e.g., due to drift, contamination, or hardware defects) and their professional resolution
  • Training: Independently conducting user training sessions at customer sites and participating in seminars at TAZ GmbH’s training facilities

Your Profile:

  • Completed training as a physics or chemistry lab technician, mechatronics technician, or electronics technician; alternatively, advanced training as a state-certified technician (e.g., measurement and control technology) or a college degree in mathematics, natural sciences, or engineering; career changers with verifiable qualifications are welcome
  • Ideally, experience in spectral or instrumental analysis
  • Ideally, initial experience in field service
  • Willingness to travel frequently (approx. 75%, primarily day trips, occasional multi-day trips, rarely abroad) as well as a Class B driver’s license
  • A structured and conscientious approach to work, as well as strong problem-solving skills
  • A confident and professional demeanor when interacting with customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and spoken language skills in German and English
  • Strong communication skills, as well as a friendly and open-minded demeanor
